Although China's silicone products have been exported to more than 30 countries and regions, more than 90% are ordinary silicone products, and high-grade silicone products are basically dependent on imports. High-grade silicone production technology is controlled by several companies in the United States, Japan and Western Europe, and the products are expensive, and some are as high as tens of thousands of tons per ton. The price of domestic ordinary silica gel is only 5000-6000 yuan / ton. In spite of this, at present, the enthusiasm of ordinary silica gel projects in coastal areas, northeastern China, Inner Mongolia, etc., in China's Shandong Province has continued unabated, and disorderly competition among enterprises and mutual bargaining have caused sales prices and profits to decline.
Wang Ninghua, chief engineer of Qingdao Mintai High-tech Materials Co., Ltd., told reporters that the development of silicone products in the direction of high technology and high added value has become the consensus of the industry, but the pace of development is not great. This is because the development of high-tech silicone products has an important feature: the products developed by research institutes, universities and colleges in the laboratory, will change due to different temperatures, pressures and washing conditions after the industrialization of production companies. The varieties are too complex and generally difficult to industrialize and scale. Therefore, the development of high-grade silicone is not made by laboratories, but depends on the scale production and application of the enterprise. Therefore, the domestic development of high-end silicone products requires the combination of scientific research units, production companies, and application units. The three are indispensable.

The final technical difficulties were overcome and the price dropped to 40%. However, later the relevant national departments organized the Beijing Petroleum and Chemical Research Institute, Qingdao Marine Chemical Plant and a petrochemical enterprise in Shandong Province to jointly tackle the 952 catalyst used in the petrochemical plant. After the development of new products, the petrochemical company in Shandong Province did not The reason to dare to use it is that if the yield is reduced by 1%, companies will lose tens of millions of dollars and they dare not take this risk. The final result had to be abandoned. Therefore, under the pressure of market competition, companies dare not rush to use new products, but also become a crux of the constraints of high-performance silicone product development and market introduction.
Wang Jun, Chief Engineer of Qingdao-based High Group, told reporters that at present, domestic silicones must go for the development of high value-added products, and two technical problems need to be solved. One is bonding technology and the other is purity of products. However, these two problems cannot be solved by enterprises alone. They must rely on the advantages of scientific research units to unite each other. It is understood that at present, the vast majority of silicone production enterprises in China are small in size, and only two of them have more than 10,000 tons. They do not have hardware and software, and they lack testing equipment and technical personnel. Enterprises are all focused on current profits, especially in the current situation of ordinary silicone market is good, it is difficult to have discouragement, vision, invest in research and development. This creates a contradiction: companies want to use new technologies to new products, but are unwilling to bear the R & D investment and risk, scientific research units off-the-shelf technology can not be realized in the industrialization, silica gel enterprises will only fail to increase the product's desire to block.
