By the end of 2008, the bidding design work for the Shanghai Zhejiang project was completed; the basic design of the 160,000 cubic meter dual fuel diesel electric propulsion GTTNO96 membrane type LNG carrier was independently developed, and the prelude to the self-developed LNG ship was opened; In the domestic ship market demand, the development of 170,000 cubic meters of LNG ship was carried out, and the improvement and optimization design of the ship was continuously promoted. At the same time, the construction technology research work of the LNG ship was actively carried out, and the technology for the construction of the LNG ship was built.

On August 11, 2009, after the full technical preparation in the early stage, the large-scale simulation cabin project of the LNG ship of the Big Ship Heavy Industry was officially started. The research and development of this simulation cabin is mainly for the GTTNO96 film type LNG ship. The part of the cargo ship's cargo compartment that is in direct contact with the LNG is the liquid cargo containment system. The system is in direct contact with ultra-low temperature liquid cargo, and the assembly quality of the entire insulation system is the key to the LNG ship. Due to the technical characteristics of the special ultra-low temperature liquid cargo of the liquid cargo containment system, its structural form is extremely special, the system structure is complex, and the construction technology requirements are very high. In addition, the construction of the entire tank containment system is very large. It is necessary to form tens of thousands of insulating parts into a closed and complete tank containment system. The assembly process is very strict and complicated, and the installation precision is high. Every operation of each process is There can be no sloppy and wrong.

In response to the above difficulties in research and development, the backbone of the heavy ship's heavy-duty technology has established a special group for LNG ship technology development, taking measures such as coming in and going out, actively carrying out technical cooperation with classification societies, equipment manufacturers and research institutes, and dispatching designers to relevant Unit learning; in the design process, experts are invited to conduct technical exchanges and on-site guidance; the participating designers actively carry out internal technical cooperation and discussion, and try to create conditions to carry out design work. During the construction process, all the construction workers completed one goal task with the unremitting efforts of one node "a annihilation war", which made the simulation cabin construction achieve a staged victory.
