However, we cannot ignore the grim situation behind the impressive results. We should soberly realize that although China is a mechanical power, it is not a mechanical power. In terms of core technology, China still lags far behind the international advanced level in terms of core technologies. In terms of regional development, the development of the machinery industry is uneven. The eastern region has an absolute advantage in terms of input, output, and benefits. The central and western regions are basically at a disadvantage. To build a brand, we should first invest in product research and development, gradually increase the grade of export products, and enhance international competitiveness.
Third, to promote China's transformation from a mechanical power to a mechanical power. For example, the current Chinese machine tool industry only has a comparative advantage in terms of scale, while it is at a disadvantage in terms of product structure. China's export of CNC machine tools is still based on inexpensive economical CNC machine tools. Compared with machine tool manufacturing countries, China's machine tool industry has a clear gap in terms of product structure, level, and research and development capabilities. The product quality is not high, and the low-end production capacity is surplus. The lack of high-tech talent still restricts the development of the machinery industry. Therefore, our country must speed up the adjustment of the industrial structure and accelerate the transition from a mechanical big country to a mechanical power.
